With the uvex phynomic C5 cut protection glove, we protect not only your hands, but also all of our resources. The uvex phynomic C5 is manufactured with bio-based HPPE (DSM Dyneema). The high-performance fibres provide cut protection and increase the tear resistance of the glove. Usually, HPPE is based on crude oil, a finite raw material. Bio-based HPPE is derived from oils produced during the pulp production process. The underlying raw material for pulp products, such as various papers, is wood. This means that the raw material that is used in your safety glove is renewable and therefore more sustainable. In the uvex phynomic C5, bio-based HPPE accounts for least 45% of the weight of the glove. 234
