1TENCEL™ is a registered brand of the Lenzing group TENCEL™ and recycled polyester for sustainability1 The TENCEL™ lyocell fibres, made from the renewable raw wood material, contribute to ecological balance through their complete integration into the natural cycle. The raw material comes from near-natural forests and sustainably managed plantations. Production takes place in a closed manufacturing process, in which pulp is converted into cellulose fibres with high resource efficiency and a low ecological impact. The fibre properties are characterised by breathability, colour stability and low bacterial growth. Sustainable materials The K26 planet collection uses only materials of natural origin. Fibre components such as hemp, algae, bamboo and organic cotton are used. The hemp plant is very resistant and requires little water in cultivation. This is reflected in the fact that the materials have a high tear resistance and durability. The algae fibres have an impressive level of skin compatibility, as they absorb a lot of nutrients from the seas. Other sustainable materials 297
